Air, water, earth and chemicals also affect the steel pipes as they affect everything. This effect may only be prevented by coating of it by a material according to the intended use.
HATBORU adopts quality and preciseness in the matter of coating, providing coating options of polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy, polyurethane, bitumen, coal-tar enamel and concrete depending on the requirements of the steel pipe projects.
Polyethylene coating is a coating type frequently used for the oil, gas and water lines. For the pipes laid underground, it imparts
high mechanical resistance and anti-corrosion strength.Normal type coating (low density) is resistant against continuous operating
temperature of 60ºC and special type coating (high density) is resistant against continuous operation temperature in a wide range
such as -60ºC and +80ºC. Hatboru carries out low, medium and high density polyethylene coating.
It is applied same with the polyethylene coating. For the pipes laid underground, it provides high resistance and anti-corrosion strength up to the continuous operating temperature up to 120oC.
After sanding operation, different types of epoxies are applied to the internal or external surface of the pipe by spray method according to the related standards. On the internal surface, various epoxy are applied, namely, hygienic suitable to carry potable water in the internal surface or resistant against soil or sea water on the external surface. Solvent-free epoxy is preferred for potable water project,
coal-tar epoxy for the irrigation pipes, glass flake epoxy for pile pipes and flow coat epoxy for natural gas pipes to ease gas flow by reduction of surface roughness.
Cement Mortar Lining
Cement Mortar is a type of lining especially applied inside of the pipe for water line. Cement mortar is applied in equal amount by spray method to the pipe rotating at high centrifuge.
It may be used with or without additive. Additive used in the cement mortar is a binding matter between cement, sand and water and improves quality of the lining by ensuring high smoothness.
